The Polishing Process
Unlike soft enamel (which is air-dried), the hard enamel process involves multiple advanced steps:
- Overfilling: Enamel paint is filled *above* the metal lines.
- Baking: The pin is baked at a very high temperature to harden the enamel.
- Polishing: The pin is ground and polished down until the enamel and the metal lines are perfectly flat and level with each other.
This creates the signature smooth, durable, and flat surface.
